I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I’ve received since announcing my campaign – that so many people have faith in me is truly humbling. I am also proud to have the support of Senator Connie Williams, Governor Rendell, Congressman Sestak, the Democratic Party chairs of both Montgomery and Delaware County, and a wide variety of coalitions representing everyone from teachers to working people to the environmental community.

However, I am most proud of having the support of the people who always come first: my constituents. When I was first elected, I won by a mere 5% of the vote. In my last election, the same district gave me a margin of 34%. I believe this could only have been accomplished through hard work and dedication to making Pennsylvania a better place.

The 17th District has been trending strongly Democratic and my House district is entirely within the 17th. However, I anticipate a tough, hard-fought election and I will need all the help I can get.

Finally, I want this campaign to be more than just about winning an election. I have watched with dismay as cynicism has crept into our system and how our public discourse has become meaner and smaller. I want to be a part of turning that around. I plan to run a positive campaign, which speaks boldly about big issues. I want our campaign to be an inspiration to all it touches, and I hope you will be a part of it. For the time being, if you have any questions or would like to get involved, you can get a hold of me using the contact information below.
